Zonnie Buggs, Army veteran who
fought in the Korean war, dies at 86
On Tuesday, June 19, 2018, Zonnie Buggs entered into eternal rest in Annapolis, MD. Born in Washington, DC and long-time resident of Capitol Heights, MD, he is survived by his daughter, Lynda Bugg; sons, David Bugg and Michael Bugg; three grandchildren (Janae Miller, Tyler Bugg and Logan Bugg); and sisters, Bertha Brown and Theresa Wright.
In 1951 at the age of 19, Zonnie joined the United States Army and fought in the Korean War. He received a medal of honor for his efforts. Zonnie was also a diehard Dallas Cowboys fan, loved music (oldies but goodies) and was a devoted father and grandfather.
Services will be held on Monday, June 25, 2018 at Beall Funeral Home, 6512 NW Crain Highway (Route 3 South), Bowie, MD 20715. Visitation will begin at 4:00 p.m. until the Memorial Service at 6:00 p.m. Interment private.
In lieu of flowers, friends are welcome to make a memorial tribute gift to the Alzheimer’s Association in “Memory of Zonnie Buggs.”
