Steven Grant Henderson passed away unexpectedly on Sunday June 17, 2018, at his home of 20 years in Pasadena, MD. Steve, also called “Schteevie” by loved ones, was larger than life. He grew up in Bowie, before it was Bowie. Steve served in the USMC, during the Vietnam era but spent most of his enlistment in Hawaii stationed at Kaneohe Marine Corps Air Station, after attending high school at Bowie High. He was a member of their big band, the Starliners and loved playing drums. His other pleasures were boating, antiquing, travel, sci-fi, cooking, baking, wine, good scotch, and he was a news junkie. He is pre-deceased by both of his parents Earl and Doris. He is survived by his beloved wife of 23 years, Bobbi, his brother Craig, and many cousins along with a large extended family. Steve experienced the very unexpected love and joy that his grandchildren brought him. “There is a hole in the world tonight” Steve will be missed. There is a Military burial at Cheltenham Veterans Cemetery, June 29, 2018 at 9:30 am. Following there will be a celebration of Steve’s life at their home in the Dena at 1.
