Arne Henry Anderson, 86 passed away on June 7, 2018. Beloved husband of 64 years to Marion P. Anderson; loving father of Kenneth C. Anderson, Gail Y. Stone (Randy); cherished by his grandchildren, Luke, Kate, Stacey, and Eddie; great-grandchildren, Ava, Nicholas, Davina, and William.
A long-time resident of Bowie, MD Mr. Anderson was born and raised in Flushing, New York. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1951-1955 during the Korean War on the U.S.S. Kenneth D. Bailey (DDR 713). He graduated from New York University. Arne retired from his distinguished career with the Federal Government in the Department of Health & Human Services in 1994.
Arne loved his family, gardening, and traveling. A loyal and trusted friend, he will be fondly remembered for his innate ability to make everyone around him feel special.
Family will receive friends Saturday, June 16, 2018 from 1pm to 3pm at Beall Funeral Home, 6512 NW Crain Hwy (Rt 3 South), Bowie MD. Interment private. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Association of Kidney Patients, 14440 Bruce B. Downs Blvd., Tampa, FL 33613 or at aakp.org.
