Marlene was born on January 18, 1962 to Carl and Marion Sheilds. She was the youngest of seven children. She was raised in Brentwood, Maryland. Marlene attended and graduated from Northwestern High School in 1980.Marlene began her career with the Federal Government in 1979 with the Department of Agriculture. She later transferred to the Department of Treasury where with determination and hard word was promoted to a Budget Analyst. Marlene received many awards throughout her years of service and was able to retire in 2013.In 1979, her junior year of high school, Marlene met and fell in love with Johnny. They married on September 11, 1982. The two were a true definition of love and commitment. They were married for 36 years and built a beautiful life together. In June of 1984, they welcomed their first child, Erin Michelle and in April of 1989, they welcomed their son, Patrick Michael.Marlene was a proud Grandmother to Madison, Brayden, Ellie, Lennox, and Camden. Her grandchildren meant the world to her.She will be missed more than words can express for she was loved by so many friends and family.
