Germaine (Terri) Alice Moore (Rondeau) died peacefully in the comfort of her son's home in Bowie, MD, surrounded by loving family members, on February 28, 2018 at the age of 88. Terri is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Freland of Bowie, MD and her daughters, Alyssa Thomas and Andrea Bean; her son, Thomas Moore (Debbie Lehan) of Bowie, MD and his sons, Thomas Moore Jr. and Andrew Moore; her daughter, Lisa Sandberg (Robert "Charlie" Sandberg) of Ellington, CT and her daughter Lara Greenberg and her son Kyle Sandberg. Terri has two great grandsons, Riley Moore and Charles Greenberg. Terri was born on Friday, January 13th, 1930 in Nashua, N.H., to Adrian (Pete) and Emily (Hardy) Rondeau. She received her GED and went to beauty school, but decided to enlist in the Navy as a W.A.V.E. with a girlfriend on September 25th,1951. She met Stanley Grant Moore in Great Lakes, Illinois, while both were serving in the military. On a dare, he asked her to dance and they were married three months later on March 28th,1952. She was honorably discharged from the military on November 25th, 1952. While in the military, they lived in Hawaii, among other places.Stanley and Terri eventually moved to Bowie, MD, settling down and growing roots. Terri was a stay at home mother, raising three children and supplementing her husband's wages by creating beautiful flower pictures with flowers she grew in her garden. She had a green thumb and was known for her beautiful gardens, for which she had won multiple awards. She worked for years at Bowie florist. Terri was devout and the church was a big part of her life. She joined the sodality of Sacred Heart Church, where she washed the linens and cared for the church gardens. She later worked at CSC and assisted coal miners with insurance claims. She was commended for her compassionate demeanor when working with the families. She retired after 10 years of service. Later in life, her husband, Stan, developed Alzheimer's and she faithfully cared for him in their own home, up until 2 years ago, when her children feared for her health and decided for safety that he be put in a secure facility. Terri then moved in with her son, Tom and his fiance, Debbie Lehan. The entire family is grateful for the patience and kindness that was shown. A funeral to commemorate Terri is scheduled for Monday, March 5th, 2018 at Beall Funeral Home, 6512 NW Crain Hwy., Bowie, MD 20715 with a reception to follow. Father Potts will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Terri's’s life.
