Jeannette Slotterback, nee Glosek, 79, beloved mother of three, grandmother of four died peacefully at her Bowie, MD home Monday morning, February 26, 2018. The Shamokin, PA native was a graduate of St. Edwards High School Class of 1956. After graduation, Jeannette worked at the Pentagon in Arlington, VA for two years before returning to the Shamokin area to marry Shamokin native, Ronald Slotterback. The pair began married life in Pennsylvania before moving to Alexandria, Virginia and eventually settled in Bowie, Maryland in November of 1963. The couple raised their family and enjoyed a happy marriage of nearly 57 years before Ronald’s death in August 2015. Jeannette was a homemaker until the mid-1970s when she returned to the workforce employed by the Prince George’s County Memorial Library System, Bowie Branch, before beginning a career in early data systems entry. Jeannette worked as a data manager for various companies holding government contracts. She retired in 2001. Jeannette is survived by her children, Kenneth, Stephen and Susan (Bradley), four grandchildren, loving sisters, and brother. She was dearly loved by daughter, son, sister and brother-in-laws. She is fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends on Thursday, March 1, 2018 from 6 to 8pm at Beall Funeral Home, 6512 NW Crain Hwy (Rt. 3 South), Bowie, MD. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 14720 Annapolis Rd. Bowie, MD on Friday, March 2, 2018 at 10:00am. Jeannette was a devoted wife, mother, sister, and friend. Her humor and kind heart will be missed by all who knew her
