Robert "Bob" Rideout

Robert "Bob" Rideout, age 68, of Davidsonville, passed away on February 24, 2018 with his family by his side. Beloved husband of Claire MacDonald Rideout for 45 years. Devoted father of Beckie Gladfelter (Mark), Jonathan Rideout (Cindy) and Michelle Shiel (Alex). Loving grandfather of Jack, Sean and Luke. He also leaves behind his sister, Dottie Jordan and many nieces and nephews.He was born in Massachusetts in 1949 to Edmond and Anna Rideout. He was a graduate of University of Maryland and had a long career at Pension Benefit Guarantee Corporation (PGBC) where he worked for over 35 years. Son of a carpenter, Bob had a passion for carpentry as a hobby. He had a love of the outdoors, and enjoyed fishing, camping and caring for his yard. Bob will be lovingly remembered for his devotion to his family and will be missed by all who knew him. The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 1, 2018 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. and Friday, March 2 from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. at Beall Funeral Home, 6512 NW Crain Hwy., Bowie, MD, where funeral services will be held on Friday, March 2 at 11:00 a.m. Memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of the Chesapeake, 90 Ritchie Highway, Pasadena, MD, 21122.
