East Stroudsburg, PA — Sahn Oree Miah (Blondet-Drake), a long time resident of the Pocono’sPa, passed away on Friday, February 16, 2018, surrounded by loved ones, in Maryland. BornAugust of 1949, in East Stroudsburg, PA, she lovingly bore five children, raising four children,with the untimely death of her second child, Virgilio Blondet. She attended East StroudsburgHigh School and King’s College for Psychology. As a child she loved painting, and ballet. She was an Ambassador for Jerry’s Kids and March ofDimes, Monroe County National Foundation and a long standing member of Youth for Christ.She held several positions/roles in life, which include: Switchboard Operator (AT&T),Receptionist, Secretary, Filing/Record Keeper (East Stroudsburg State College), Wife, Mother,Sister, Daughter, Aunt, Grandmother and Friend. Sahn had a taste for great food, loved to socialize, and watching many shows like I Love Lucyand Wheel of Fortune. Scratching Instant Lottery tickets and playing Bingo were must haves inher life too. She had a smile that could light up a room and she was filled with infectious joy,kindness, and tenacity. Every stranger she met became a friend within minutes. She is survived by her children: Tony Blondet Jr., Shamane Blondet Gardner and her husbandDwayne Gardner, Veronica LaBoy Carroll and her husband Joe Carroll, and Rosendo LaBoyaka Rez and Karen Garcia, Rosendo LaBoy Sr. (Father to Veronica and Rosendo), and herGrandkids, that brought her neverending joy: Christopher Carroll, Russell Schaum, JoshuaGardner, Brian Gardner, and Harmony Carroll. Beloved Sisters: Tara Miah, Evangelist Tsa Ali. Nephews/Niece: Lance Gilbert, Miles Gilbert,Angelique Ahedo, Arnez Ahedo. Great Great Nieces: Heaven Ahedo, Analiah Ahedo, KalayaAhedo and many other beloved family and friends. She was preceded in death, by her beloved late husband Paul Drake, Antonio Blondet Sr.,mother Veronica Beville Ali, father Eleman Miah, son Virgilio Blondet, niece Lenetta Beanum.Sahn Miah was a strong-willed survivor, a kind warrior of love, a woman of warm wit, resourcefulintellect, profound faith and unending generosity. She adapted to all of the many challenges lifebrought her way; all the while, never losing her smile, her joy, and her huge love andcompassion for others. We will all tremendously love and miss Sahn!
