James G. Matthews

James George Matthews age 75 died on Monday, February 5, 2018 at Mandrin Hospice House, beloved husband of Kathleen Matthews, Bowie, MD. Loving brother of Yvonne Catania (James) and Judy Bonk ( LeRoy).  Jim was born in Milwaukee, WI, graduated from Marquette University in 1965 and received his Master’s degree in Mathematics from University of Notre Dame in 1973. He and his wife moved to Maryland in 1973 where he worked as a mathematician for the Department of Defense at Fort Meade for 34 years. Jim enjoyed gardening, travel and good food and wine. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
