Marion Brunner, a resident of Bowie for more than 50 years, died peacefully on January 29, 2018 at Villa Rosa Nursing Home in Mitchellville, Maryland. She was a devoted wife, a loving mother, a treasured relative, and a friend to many. She is predeceased by her husband, Arthur of 62 years. She is survived by her three children: Susan (Alfred) Ose, Gregory (Kathleen) Brunner and Christopher (Frank Davis) Brunner, and five grandchildren: Allison, Elizabeth and Nicholas Ose; and Natalie and James Brunner. Marion was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on May 17, 1931. She is the daughter of the late George and Mary Bailey, and was predeceased by her younger sister, Alice Brashear. She met her lifelong love, Arthur Brunner, at a church social for young adults. They married in May of 1952 and shortly thereafter moved to the Bowie area. Marion was member of Sacred Heart Parish in Bowie, having taught 5th grade religious education and was a member of the Ladies Sodality. Marion was also an active member and past president of the Sacred Heart Council Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary and forged countless lifelong friendships. She loved bowling, golf and playing cards. Family will receive friends on Sunday, February 4, 2018 from 1 to 4pm at Beall Funeral Home, 6512 NW Crain Hwy (Rt 3 South), Bowie, MD. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Sacred Heart Chapel on Monday, February 5, 2018 at 12:30pm. Interment Sacred Heart Cemetery.
