James “Jim” Brian O’Branovich, age 48, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 25, 2018 at Genesis Fairland Center in Silver Spring, MD. Jim was born in Cheverly, MD on October 29th, 1969 to Richard O’Branovich and Betsy Swain. He married Denise Hendley on August 7, 2010 in Fishing Creek, MD. Jim grew up in New Carrollton, MD until age 8 when the family moved to Bowie, MD. He graduated from Bowie Senior High School in 1988 and started his full time career with the Maryland National Capital Park and Planning Commission the same year. After 30 years of service, Jim retired from the MNCPPC as a Stable Manager. Jim enjoyed boating, woodworking and spending time with his many friends and family. In addition to his wife, Jim is survived by both parents, Richard O’Branovich (Ginny) and Betsy Swain (Henry); by his brother Robert O’Branovich (Johanna), and step brothers Charles Hill (Michelle), and Robert Hill. He is also survived by 4 step children, Ryan Winebrenner of Bowie, MD; Misty Roach (David) of Baxter, TN; Sean Winebrenner (Erica) of Crossville, TN; and Amanda Dickson (William) of Sparta, TN. Additionally, he is survived by 3 nephews, 4 nieces, and 13 grandchildren. Viewings will be held on Wednesday, January 31st from 2:00pm – 4:00pm and from 6:00pm – 8:00pm at Beall Funeral Home, 6512 NW Crain Hwy (Rt. 3 South) Bowie, MD. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 1st at 11:00am at Beall Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Ft. Lincoln Cemetery, 3401 Bladensburg Road, Brentwood, MD. A Lunch reception will follow the Interment at the Glenn Dale Fire Department, 11900 Glenn Dale Blvd., Glenn Dale, MD.
