William (Billy) Michael Aberg, 60, passed away on Wednesday, January 10, 2018, in his apartment in Washington, DC. He was predeceased by his father, William (Bill) A. Aberg, Jr., and his mother, Catherine Cavanaugh Aberg. He was born in Washington, D.C. on January 26, 1957, and initially lived in West Hyattsville, MD. His family moved to Bowie, MD, in 1964. He lived primarily in the Maryland / DC area for most of his adult life, but also spent roughly 10 years living in Arizona. Billy was an award winning Poet, and was fortunate to have as his mentor Richard Shelton, an emeritus Professor of English at the University of Arizona. Billy struggled with Mental Illness for most of his life. His family is grateful for the support that has been provided to Billy over the years, and is inspired to know there are so many good people in the world. He is survived by his 4 siblings: John Aberg, Colleen Boisvert, Lisa Miles and Greta Cuccia, and his 9 nieces and nephews: Christopher Aberg, Matthew Aberg, Michael Aberg, Jay Boisvert, Jacqueline Brewer, Kelly Miles, Elizabeth Thomas, Ryan Cuccia and Stephen Cuccia.
