Seth Quincy McShane

March 20, 1992 — January 5, 2018

The sun shone the brightest in Baltimore, Maryland on March 20, 1992. It was the first day of Spring and the first day of life for Seth. From the time of his birth to the last day he spent with us, Seth changed the lives of every person he met. He was always seen with a smile that could light up a room and an inviting aura that commanded the attention of everyone who came near him. He is survived by his fiancé Bri and their daughter Zoë, his mother Cathy and father Shane, his sister Destini, his brother in law Kouhei and their son Keita. He is also survived by his Grandma McShane, Grandpa McShane, and Grandpa Thompson. Seth leaves behind countless friends who he considered his second family. Seth was a guiding light for every person he crossed paths with. He was a gentle giant who’s size was only matched by his heart and the love he had for those surrounding him. Seth spent his life making everyone around him happy. He dedicated his life to giving other people joy so they would never have to feel pain. Seth was a dedicated father, loving son, brother, fiancé, uncle, and friend. Seth has left the world he knew, one that was not big enough for his personality and his heart. He has been called home to be with his friends and family that have also left us too soon. Seth spent his time on Earth enjoying any second he could with his family. He enjoyed going to music festivals, sharing his story with everyone around him, reading books, playing video games, and cooking. His passion for food showed through his cooking. He cooked with his soul, leaving a part of him in each of his meals. Amidst all the tragedy surrounding Seth’s passing, he has left us with a legacy. His daughter Zoë was his pride and joy. She is a constant reminder of his bold personality, unrelenting determination, unquenchable curiosity, and calming demeanor. Seth leaves each of us with countless memories, hundreds of stories to makes us laugh in our darkest time, and the wisdom and advice he has passed to each of us in our time of need. Seth will eternally be loved, he will always be missed, and he will forever live in our hearts. Seth would urge each one of us to never take a moment for granted. He would ask each of us to live our lives sharing the kindest part of our being to those around us, spreading nothing but smiles and positive vibes, and he would beg that we would live as though every day was our last one on earth. Let go of your demons. Release your negativity. Breathe, smile, and relax.
