In Memory Wiser - Carol Ann (Askew) – Babe, 70, formerly of Landover Hills and Upper Marlboro, MD passed away peacefully on December 27, 2017. Born April 1, 1947 in Virginia. Daughter of the late Milton C. and Lois J. (Shields) Askew. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Tracey L. Wiser, Lusby, MD. Survived by her husband of 53 years Rodrick C. Wiser, Upper Marlboro, MD; children, Shannon (Christopher) Corcoran, Severn, MD; Shawn (Betty) Wiser, Gambrills, MD; brother, “Ted” (Cindi) Askew, Pelzer, SC; grandchildren, James Milton Wiser, Tyler Matthew Wiser, Ryan Christopher Corcoran, Courtney Paige Corcoran, and Marissa Nicole Wiser; brothers-in-law, Theodore (Joan) Little and Elton (Shirley) Wiser. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Member of Riverdale Baptist Church in Largo and Riverdale, MD for 55 years. Carol loved the Lord, family, cars and her cats; she will be sadly missed by her cats Snickers, Putchie, Skittles and Pooh (passed away one day after Carol). Carol loved to take family vacations with her brother and sister-in-law’s family every summer. They visited almost every state and saw so many memorable attractions. Carol loved to travel; one of her fondest trips was to Israel with the Riverdale Baptist Church where she and her mother (Lois) had the privilege of seeing the Holy Land. Carol had a passion for cars, she could tell you practical anything you wanted to know about a car. She even owned her favorite car, a 1957 Thunderbird. She had a love for all animals and was a member of the Humane Society and ASPCA. Most of all Carol loved her family and friends, her favorite times and memories were when she was with all of them. Carol’s love and passion for life and all things will be greatly missed by all of us. We love you!
