Died on December 19, 2017 (Age 53) of Baltimore Maryland. Stephen was born on April 2, 1964 in Bowie Maryland. He graduated from Bowie High School in 1982. He is survived by his Mother Margaret Crotts, sister Catherine Bofto, nephews Andrew, Adam, Alex and Connor Bofto and many other family and friends. He spent much of his early childhood in Franklin Manor, Maryland. He spent many of his days on the Chesapeake Bay participating in many waterfront activates including to crabbing and fishing. He was an avid Redskins fan and loved Thanksgiving and Christmas football surrounded by family. Steve was a do it yourself handyman who was frequently referred to as being helpful to have around. Whether it was a broken appliance, home remodeling or landscaping his mothers garden he applied his artisanal talents to be helpful to those around him. Steve was an entrepreneur with a keen wit, limitless drive, laser like focus and strong organization skills. He started his own courier business in 2008 during one of the worst economic downturn the country experienced and kept steady business right up to his death. Stephen loved spending time with his nephews whom he enjoyed taking for slurpee and big gulp runs at seven-eleven or pizza at T.J. Elliotts or Ledo's Pizza. Family will receive friends Thursday January 4, 2017 from 6 to 8pm at Beall Funeral Home, 6512 NW Crain Hwy. (Rt 3 South), Bowie, MD., where a funeral will be Friday January 5, 2017 at 10 am. Interment at Lakemont Memorial Gardens in Davidsonville MD.
