Joan B. Riley

Joan Barbara Riley, 85, of Bowie, Maryland passed away Thursday, December 21, 2017 at Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis, Maryland. Joan was born May 31, 1932 in Baltimore, Maryland to Martin Dei & Goldie Talbott. Joan was preceded in death by her loving husband; John "Jack" Riley and daughter Debra Ann Knauff. Joan is survived by her younger sister, three of her children, five grandchildren, and one great grandchild.Joan was a devout Catholic, attended Catholic school growing up and was a faithful parishioner of Sacred Heart Church in Bowie, Maryland. She loved her family very much as well as gardening, traveling, cooking/baking, needlework, her cats, and keeping a cozy house for all of her beloved family members & friends to visit. Joan touched the lives of everyone she knew, she cared deeply for people and always prayed for their wellbeing & success. She was incredibly intelligent, funny, and a very strong person physically, mentally, and spiritually. May she now be in peace reunited with God and her loved ones in Heaven.The mass dedicated to Joan B. Riley was a private ceremony at Sacred Heart Church in Bowie, MD.
