Donald L. Bridgett

Donald L. Bridgett, age 83, formerly of Lanham, MD, passed away on December 12, 2017 at Charlotte Hall Veterans Home in Maryland. He has joined his beloved wife of 59 years, Barbara L. Bridgett, in heaven. Don was the son of the late Francis and Mary Bridgett. He was born and raised in Washington, DC and the youngest of 13 children. He served in the United States Navy and was a firefighter with the D.C. Fire Department (Engine Company 21). He retired in 1983. He is survived by his daughter, Lorie Varvaro (Steve) from Conway, SC; sons, Mike Bridgett (Betsy) from Piney Point, MD; and Patrick Bridgett (Irene) from San Francisco, CA. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, Cristie, Leslie Tiffany, Zachary, Maggie, Kailin, Andrea, Claudea and great-grandson, Dylan. Family will receive friends on Monday, December 18, 2017 from 10-11am at Beall Funeral Home, 6512 NW Crain Hwy. (Rt. 3 South), Bowie, MD, followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. Interment private.
