Lillian "Yi" Stevenson

Lillian “Yi” (Fuschino) Stevenson A resident of Crofton MD since 2000, passed away peacefully at 86 years old from congestive heart failure on December 9, 2017 at Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis, MD. Born Lilliana Carmella Fuschino on April 1, 1931 in Hooversville, PA to Dominic and Maria (Fusina) Fuschino as one of 11 first generation Americans. Although offered an academic college scholarship, after high school she chose to move to Washington DC where she met and married William (Bill or Steve) Stevenson in January 1951. They lived in KY and VA while raising their 5 children. In 1964 they moved to Landover Hills MD where Steve died suddenly 18 months later in 1966.  Lil supported her family by working at Giant Food until her retirement in the early 90s. Lil truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; reading, playing cards, antiques, flea markets and game shows.  Her favorite activities were spending time with her family and cooking. Lil is survived by her loving children Doug (Elaine) Stevenson of Huntingtown MD, Joe (Barbara) Stevenson of Arnold MD, Teri (Mike) Campbell of Crofton MD, Karen (Skip) Campbell of Conway SC; 15 cherished grandchildren and18 great grandchildren. She is also survived by 7 brothers and sisters, Mac Fuschino and wife Lil, Hooversville; Ginny Hull, Summerhill;  Marie Bloom, Hooversville;  Gloria Fuschino, Central City; Teresa Petronick and husband Chip, Hooversville; Erma Mayak, Stoystown; John Fuschino and wife Barb, Windber; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband Steve, she was predeceased by her loving daughter Cynthia (Rex) Harding of Aiken, SC; Joe Fuschino, VA; Phyllis Skobel, NY, Carol Taylor, PA. Friends may call Friday, December 15, 2017, 5:00PM to 8:00 PM at Beall Funeral Home, 6512 NW Crain Highway, Bowie, MD 20715. There will be a visitation Saturday, December 16, 2017 from 11:30AM to Noon at Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 1800 Seton Drive, Crofton, MD followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12pm.  Interment will follow at a later date at Arlington National Cemetery. .
