Laura S. Brown

Laura S. Brown, 98, died Friday, November 17, 2017 at the University of Maryland Charles Regional Medical Center. She was born March 3,1919 in Maryland to the late Laura A. and Bernard R. Simms. Beloved wife of the late Herman W. Brown; mother of Douglas W. Brown; grandmother of Ashley and Leslie Brown; great grandmother of Tyler Hephner; sister of Vivian Watts, Charlotte Davis, and the late Gloria Phelan and Blannie Wilson; mother-in-law of the late Diane K. Brown. Mrs. Brown worked for the Federal Government for 42 years retiring as a manager; was a member of St. Barnabas Episcopal Church for over 50 years volunteering in the church thrift store for over 10 years and as a member of the Daughters of the King. The family will be receiving relatives and friends at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church, 5203 St. Barnabas Road, Temple Hills, MD 20748 on Monday, November 27, 2017 from 10-11 am with funeral service at 11 am. Interment Fort Lincoln Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Barnabas Episcopal Church.
