James E. Fry

James Fry entered the loving arms of His Lord and Savior in the early morning hours on October 18, 2017 after a massive stroke. He is survived by his wife Sandra, his son Jonathan (Melissa), his brother-in-law Gerald, his sister-in-law Julie, and five dearly loved grandchildren (Nathaniel, Emily, Mya, Sophia, and Joshua). He joins his daughters Melissa and Amy, who pre-deceased him in 2010 and 2013.During his life, Jim was actively involved in various ministries of the Riverdale Baptist Church in Upper Marlboro, Maryland (formerly the First Baptist Church of Riverdale). He was a respiratory therapist prior to an on-the-job injury that resulted in chronic pain for several years. He was very outgoing and always had a friendly smile for his family and friends. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He was a true servant who cared passionately about the church and the people there. He will be missed by his family and many friends.
