Robert L. Sheeley

Robert L. Sheeley, age 70, passed away at his residence in Bowie, MD on Tuesday, October 10, 2017. Born in Bellefontaine, Ohio, he joined the Army and served in Vietnam in the mid-60's. He was honorably discharged from Ft. Meade, Maryland where he met his future wife. They lived in Maryland for most of their marriage, while raising their beautiful daughter, Tracey. As a long-haul truck driver, he visited every state in the continental USA and Canada. This led him to his ultimate career as a CDL Instructor for many federal government agencies and community colleges in Maryland. He enjoyed boating and crabbing with family and friends and playing with his dogs.He is survived by his wife, Susan; his daughter, Tracey Dunn and her husband, Eric; his sister, Kathy Blumenschein and her husband, Bill; his sister, Debi Sampson and her husband, Gary; his brother-in-law, Jim Nieberding and his wife, Becky; and many nieces and nephews.Please note the "Service Schedule" page for memorial service times. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donating to The Wounded Warrior Project or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, two of his favorite charities.
