Janie "Vickie" Victoria Baer

On Monday, September 25, 2017 beloved wife of Richard “Dick” Baer and devoted mother of Mildred “Millie” Baer died. She lived her 82 years of life to the fullest. Born in Halifax, VA to the late Walter Henry Moore and Minnie Whitlow Moore. Survived by her brother Billy Moore and many nieces and nephews. She loved her nursing career of 57 years. Janie started as an Air Force Military nurse and continued as a civilian nurse working an extended career including multiple disciplines, overseas and stateside. She loved gardening, tennis, walking, fishing, cooking/baking and shoe shopping. She was extremely caring with people and their needs. Those who knew her will recognize that having been raised on a Virginia farm, Janie never lost the country girl in her. She was loved and will be sorely missed by those whose lives she touched. Family will receive friends Thursday, October 5, 2017 from 11:30am – 1:30pm at Beall Funeral Home, 6512 NW Crain Hwy (Rt. 3 South), Bowie, MD followed by graveside services at 3pm at Lakemont Memorial Gardens, Davidsonville, MD.
