Janice Halleran

Janice Hanbury Halleran died on September 14, 2017, in Silver Spring MD. She leaves three children, James Halleran, Raymond Halleran, Deborah Halleran Dooney and 7 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren. She is the widow of Col. Kenneth Halleran; both were residents of Newington CT and graduates of Newington High School. Janice is a former LPN having graduated from Hartford Hospital in September of 1953.  She is the daughter of the late Mabel and Alfred Hanbury. Her siblings Shirley E Merkle, Alan E. Hanbury and George A. Hanbury, predeceased her. A service will be held on Sunday, October 8, 2017, at 1 pm in the Riderwood Chapel, 3110 Gracefield Road Silver Spring, MD, followed by Lite Fare in the Chesapeake Room. The family request’s no flowers; in lieu of flowers donations can be made in her memory to Children’s Health System Foundation. Burial will be at Arlington Cemetery, November 8, 2017 at 2pm.
