Bishop James Carrington Bell (Age 81) Peacefully on Monday, September 4, 2017, Bishop James Carrington Bell of Nelson County Virginia, beloved husband, devoted father, and compassionate minister of God, went home to be with the Lord after a long battle with congestive heart failure surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his wife First Lady Edna Bell, devoted children, Vivian, James Jr, Walter, Kelly, Lori, Pamela, Christopher, Cynthia, Ronnie, Debra, Robert, Tamara, Tasheya, Tyree, grandchildren, great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. James was preceded in death by wives, Earl and Miriam, son Edward, mother Margaret Allen, siblings Richard, Pauline, Helen and Thomas. A devoted father, James loved his family deeply and would give all he had in his show of love for them. James lived a life dedicated to the needs of others both in ministry and in community service. He was called to the pulpit to preach in the early years of his life and he followed this calling faithfully preaching the good news gospel nationally and internationally. He especially loved ministering to those who are sick and to children. Friends may celebrate with the family on Wednesday, September 13, 2017 from 10 a.m. until time of service 11 a.m. at City of Praise Family Ministries, 8501 Jericho City Drive, Landover , MD 20785. Interment Fort Lincoln Cemetery.
