Thank you for celebrating Mark C. Wiant’s life with us. Mark was a loving son to George and Martha Wiant of Rochester, New York. He grew up with his brothers John and George. They had a fun filled childhood. The brothers stayed close throughout their lives. In addition to his family, Mark was devoted to his country and community. He service in the Navy and then transferred to the Navy reserves. At the same time, he worked for the Department of the Navy. He said many times the Navy served him well. In the community, everyone knew they could go to Mark about anything. He was a kind soul who helped everyone or anyone. Mark was first person to turn to if you had any car problems. You never even had to ask him. Open the hood and Mark was there. He was known to be a good listener and give his advice when asked. Mark always had a joke to share with you. He was a very special man everyone loved. Our family finds peace in knowing our father is together with his departed wife, Frances, son, Mark, father and mother, George and Martha, brother and sister-in law, John and Ruth, and his brother, Father George.
