Patricia E. Homan

Patricia passed away on July 28, 2017 at the age of 83 with her children by her side at her residence in Bowie, MD. She was born on May 9, 1934 in Savannah, Georgia. Patricia grew up in Greenbelt, MD and after graduating high school, began working for the Navy Department. During her time with the Navy, she met and married her husband (Alan) and was married for 53 years. She was loved by all who knew her and most especially by Alan and children, Sue, Bob, Laurie and Jim. Patricia had a disarming charm about her and a way of making everyone she met feel special. Her sense of humor, which she passed to her children, would always bring a smile to your face. Patricia never missed an opportunity to be generous and was the most empathetic person you would ever meet. She will be sorely missed. She is survived by her children and their families: Sue and Clay Whitlow (children -  Chris, Hayley and Bobby), Bob Homan, Jim and Regan Homan (children - Derek, Ben, Gretchen, Rachel and Joe) and Laurie and Ed Danko (children - Elizabeth, John and Joe). Patricia had six great grandchildren, Ethan, Chase, Ava, Remington, Maverick and Emma. Family will receive friends Thursday, August 3, 2017 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at Beall Funeral Home, 6512 NW Crain Highway, Bowie, MD 20715. A Funeral Mass will be held at Sacred Heart Chapel, 16501 Annapolis Road, Bowie, MD 20715 on Friday, August 4, 2017 at 11 a.m. Interment, Sacred Heart Cemetery. Flowers will be graciously accepted. Pat's favorite charity was St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, (501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105) if you prefer making a donation.
