MaryAnn Brown, formerly of Bowie, Md. and King George, Va. passed gently on Monday, April 24,2017.Born to James & Lottie Poore on August 6, 1929. She was the second eldest child with four siblings. After graduating from Anne Arundle High school in June of 1947, she married her beloved husband LeRoy S. "Bunky" Brown. In July of 1948 they welcomed their only child, Sharon, into the family.During her early years MaryAnn worked at the Bowie Racetrack as a switchboard operator. She then went on to work as a secretary for Daisy Brothers Construction in Glenn Dale, Md. Then going on to spend quality time with her family at Morgantown, in Southern Maryland, on the Potomac river where she enjoyed camping, fishing, water-skiing and boating. Making life long friends in the process.Moving to King George in 1982, she and Bunky enjoyed their "Browns Ponderosa" and having the grandchildren come visit on weekends and during the summers.In December of 1987 she was proceeded in death by her beloved husband. She spent the next several years spoiling her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
