David Umstead Wright, III

On Thursday, April 20, 2017, of Mitchellville, MD. David was born in Wilmington, DE on July 14, 1951 to David U. Wright, Jr. (deceased) and Dorothy M. Wright.  He graduated from the University of Maryland in Music Education. David worked for The Humane Society of the United States as a Programmer Analyst.  He also served as Organist and Director of Music for many years at various churches.  Beloved husband of 38 years of Arlene Hawkins Wright; loving son of Dorothy M. Wright.  Dear brother of Douglas Wright (Kathy) and Dale Wright (Patricia).  Also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and his beloved cats Dezi and Peggy.  Services will be private.  In lieu of flowers a donation may be made to The Humane Society of the United States, Dept.
