George Henry Swisher

George H. Swisher, 82, a resident of Bowie, MD passed away Thursday, April 20, 2017 at his residence.  Born August 27, 1934 in Clarksburg, WV.  He graduated from WV Institute of Technology.  George worked as a high school teacher and manager of PG County Public Schools Print Shop.  He was a member of Annapolis Woodworking Guild.  He enjoyed singing in Barbershop Quartets, Gospel trios, teaching Bible study, and working in his woodshop.  George was preceded in death by his mother, Mabel Swisher.  George is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Wanda Swisher; three daughters, Diana Galvin of Laurens, SC, Juanita Fox of LaPlata, MD, and Christina Veschi of Mineral, VA; one son, Donald Swisher of Bowie, MD; four grandsons, Nicholas, Michael, Austin and Braeden; four granddaughters, Meagan, Kate, Brooke and Brynn; and five great-grandchildren, Colton, Raelynn, Carter, Wesley and Jameson.  Family and friends may visit on April 27, 2017 from 6pm and 8pm at Beall Funeral Home, 6512 Crain Hwy, Bowie, MD 20715.  Interment will be private.
