Philip W. Beall, age 90, passed away on Tuesday, April 4, 2017. A native of Eastport, he was born April 29, 1926 to Philip W. Beall, Sr. and Katharine Beall (Williams of Eastport). He graduated from Annapolis High School and immediately went into the U.S. Army. He served during WW II in Italy. He was employed by C&P Telephone Company of MD, where he worked for 37 years and retired as a planning engineer.He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Evelyn (Turner of Odenton), his daughter Cynthia (Nathan) Blanchard and Dyan Speaks, grandchildren Cliff Dobson, Rebecca Speaks, Andrew (Megan) Blanchard, Christina (Ryan) Ryckman, great-grandchildren Bella Speaks, Annabelle Ryckman and Nina and Faye Blanchard.He enjoyed hunting, fishing, crabbing and shotgun sports. He particularly enjoyed hunting and fishing in the Smokey Mountains of North Carolina. He was an avid reader and experienced leather crafter.He served as member and chairman of the Annapolis Post Wardens. He was a member of the Anne Arundel Fish and Game Association, National Rifle Association, Eastport UMC and Telephone Pioneers.The family would like to express thanks to Seasons Hospice, especially Debbie Watson.Family will receive friends on Saturday, April 8, 2017 from 10-10:30am at the family-owned BEALL FUNERAL HOME, 6512 NW Crain Hwy. (Rte. 3 South), Bowie, MD; followed by a funeral service at 10:30am. Interment, Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Annapolis, MD. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
