With deep sadness we mourn the sudden passing of our beloved husband, father and grandfather, Keith Allen Barbour, age 71, on Monday, April 3, 2017. He will be remembered for his generous, charismatic and charming spirit. His sense of humor will be sorely missed.Keith was born on March 24, 1946 to Vernon and Dorothy Barbour in Sandusky, Ohio. Upon graduating from Sandusky High School in 1964 he attended Bowling Green University and entered the United States Army, serving in Korea. He attended flight school in Charlottesville, VA, where he was blessed to meet the love of his life, Mary Etta Barbour nee Schaible. They married in 1973 and he began a lifetime career in the air freight forwarding industry. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to start his own business. He was the President of Air Freight Plus, Inc. until he retired in 2012. It was his lifelong joy to serve others. He was a faith filled member of Our Lady of the Fields Catholic Church and supported the Breaking Bread with the Hungry Ministry. He also enjoyed relaxing on his boat, gardening and caring for his yard, and being with his family. Most recently you would find him playing with his grandchildren and doing his best to expand his pet collection.Keith is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Mary Etta Barbour nee Schaible, Kathleen Keough (daughter), Christopher Barbour (son), Sarah Barbour nee Pulcher (daughter in law) and two granddaughters. He also leaves behind his sister, Marilyn Ohlemacher and many uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Vernon Barbour and Dorothy Barbour nee Boddy and his brother, Vernon (Hank) Barbour, Jr.A visitation will be held on Sunday, April 9, 2017 from 2:00 to 5:00pm at Beall Funeral Home, 6512 NW Crain Hwy (Rt. 3 South), Bowie, MD. The Funeral Mass will be held Monday, April 10, 2017 at 11:00a.m at Our Lady of the Fields Catholic Church, 1070 Cecil Ave. Millersville, MD. Interment private at a later date.
