Peggy A. Cusack

Peggy Ann Cusack (age 68)    On February 23, 2017 Peggy peacefully passed away in her Crofton MD home surrounded by her family. Cherished wife for 50 years of John (Jack) Cusack lll, treasured mother of John Cusack lV, Cari Cusack and Michelle (Shane) Morris, loving Nana to her grandson Shane A Morris ll, daughter of Wanda and the late Duane McDermond, sister of Ken (Denise) McDermond, Mark (Marilyn) McDermond and Lori (Tim) Carr, sister-in-law of Tom Cusack, David Cusack, Tim (Bonnie) Cusack, Bob (Lisa) Cusack and Dale Facchina. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.      Peggy was a kind, caring, charitable, humble, non-judgmental soul who loved everybody. She loved to laugh and had a great sense of humor. She was a ray of sunshine to all, never letting the serious cancer she lived with for 9 years define her. Even in extreme health circumstances Peggy would always say she felt “pretty good”. Her unflagging optimism, humor, constant concern and comfort for others, and appreciation of God’s love surrounding her are a continuing inspiration to all who knew her. Her faith in God’s love for her and all of us was deep and comforting.  Most important to Peggy were the close family ties and friendships she had over many decades reflecting the deep love and support she gave to everyone.    Peggy loved to shop--which she defined as showing expertise in the retail business. She enjoyed family gatherings, craft fairs, bowling, dancing and the beach—both the quiet of Bethany and the bustle of the Ocean City boardwalk. She loved spending time with her family and friends-- most of all with her precious grandson Shaney with whom she is now joyfully reunited in heaven.    Peggy worked over the years at various retail businesses, Commercial Office Environments and Bowie Internal Medicine.   Her last message to each and all of us was— “ I  want you to be happy.  I’m happy.  I love you very much and I’ll see you in heaven.”   Visitation will be held March 11, 2017 at Beall Funeral Home, 6512 NW Crain Hwy (Rt. 3 South), Bowie, MD,  from 3pm to 4:30pm with a memorial service immediately following.  In lieu of flowers the family requests consideration of a donation in Peggy’s memory to, Scholarships for Scholars, 2644 Riva Road, Annapolis MD 21401.
