Deloris "Dee" A. Hough

Deloris (Dee) A. Hough (74) of Crofton, MD, born November 27th, 1942 in Washington D.C. passed away peacefully in her home on Tuesday, February 21st 2017. Preceded in death by her husband John H. Hough Jr. and stepson John R. Hough. She is survived by her loving daughters, Catherine Merkel (John) and Christine Whetzel (Jeff); stepson, David C. Hough (Marianne); sisters, Doris Bussard (Ray) and Carol Lee Hamblin; brother, James Pugh (Linda); grandchildren, Bret Whetzel (Victoria), Keith Whetzel (Marilyn), Casey Whetzel, Mckenna Merkel and great granddaughter Hailey Whetzel. She will be greatly missed by her immediate family including her nieces, nephews, lifelong friends and her extended family that she loved as her own.  Family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 28, 2017 from 5-8pm at the family-owned BEALL FUNERAL HOME, 6512 NW Crain Hwy. (Rte. 3 South), Bowie, MD. There will be an additional visitation, Wednesday, March 1, 2017, from 10-11am followed by a funeral service at 11:00am. Interment, Maryland Veteran’s Cemetery, 1122 Sunrise Beach Road Crownsville, MD. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to: Crohn's & Colitis Foundation. 1201 South Sharp Street Baltimore, MD 21230. Dee was an exceptional woman whose lively personality made her easy to love. She was extremely caring and always left a lasting impression on each relationship she formed. Whether you needed advice, comfort, protection or love – Dee would be there. She knew how to have a good time and was always the life of the party.She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, watching football, and making sure the many people in her life were happy. She often spoke of her favorite places to work and cherished and loved her friendships she made at the Alamo, Plata Grande/Margarita Maggie’s and the American Legion. She will be remembered for her love of the Washington Redskins, loud personality, vibrant red hair and her caring heart. She always said her greatest accomplishments in life were her children and grandchildren.
