Patricia Ann Zasadil

July 21, 1943 — February 19, 2017

Patricia "Pat" Ann Zasadil, 73, passed away at home, February 19, 2017 at 3:33am with her family by her side, in Crofton, MarylandPat, daughter of Maj. Gen. John E. Morrison Jr. (deceased) and Flora May Haupt Morrison (deceased), was born on July 21, 1943 in Baltimore, Maryland. The oldest daughter of an Air Force family, she attended public school in Alabama, Alaska, Texas and Maryland, and was a graduate of the class of 1961 at Walter Johnson High School in Bethesda, MD.  She also attended business college while her family was stationed at Hickam Air Force base on Oahu, Hawaii in the mid 1960's.As a young girl, Pat took ballet lessons, loved singing and dancing and dreamed of becoming the next member of the Mickey Mouse Club "Mouseketeers". Her love of music and dance and the arts only grew stronger so her family nicknamed her the "Dreamer". During her teen years her love for children led her to volunteer her summers as a counselor at Camp Shriver in Bethesda, MD, founded by the Kennedy-Shriver family. Camp Shriver was dedicated to helping children with special needs.Pat met and fell in love with George A. Zasadil (deceased), a tall and handsome "city-boy" from Chicago, Illinois. Serving in the U.S. Army, George had just returned from a tour in Ethiopia, Africa and was stationed at Fort Meade, MD. They married April 6, 1970 and had three children. A long time resident of Crofton, MD, Pat was mostly a stay at home mom but did work intermittently at local businesses such as The Crofton Children Center, InterConn, Crofton Florist, Larry Melby's Cleaning Service and during the holiday season at Crofton K-Mart.Pat enjoyed reading, writing, listening to music, going out to eat, and watching a good movie. Holiday time and Christmas classics were her favorite; It's a Wonderful Life, Elf, and Christmas Vacation would keep her laughing.  She loved vacations, especially Disney World, and was always the first one ready to go!  But God and family was what she loved most.Pat had a great sense of humor, was a trivia buff, loved her soaps, The Young and the Restless and Bold and the Beautiful, she was a huge Lipton tea drinker (with milk and way too much sugar!) and she loved to talk to anyone. Pat is survived by her loving children; Kimberly Ann Zasadil, Laura Lynn Zasadil-Carr (Michael) and John Michael Zasadil (Lauren). Her sister Karen M. Sutton (Peter),  brother John E. Morrison III, sister-in-law Suzanne M. Svec (Karl) of Berwyn, Illinois. Pat was a devoted grandmother "Grammy" to Taylor J. Griffin, Joshua W. Griffin, Ryan R. Thompson, Lilly A. Millage, Johnathon D. Millage, Paul M. Zasadil and the future Patrick C. Zasadil.  She also leaves behind many cousins, nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the Anne Arundel Medical Center, A.A.M.C. Oncology Department, Rev. Caralis Kimbrue from A.A.M.C. Chaplain services, Terri from Healing arts therapy, Pas. Bob Parsley, Hospice of the Chesapeake and all the doctors, nurses, aides, clergymen, family and friends; for all your prayers, love and care given to our Mom during her last days here with us. We will be forever grateful.
