Elizabeth Mary DeMar

Elizabeth Mary DeMar "Maenner" "Betty" Born April 19th 1916. Was welcomed into the loving arms of her lord on Sunday the 29th of January 2017. The oldest of 5 girls born to Lawrence and Julia Maenner of Old Bowie Maryland. She was pre-deceased by her loving husband William Harry DeMar. Two beloved sisters Julia and Rita. Living a long and a blessed life of over 100 years she is survived by sisters Bea and Katherine. Her Three step daughters, Marie, Barbara and Caroline and their children. Her son William DeMar and his wife Julie, son David Demar and Son John DeMar and his wife Kathleen. Grandchildren Candice, Jacklyn, Kristina, John, Darrell, Peter, Michael, Gregory, Kimberly, Tina, Wayne and Daniel. Great grandchildren Jasmine, James, Cloe, Leo, Benjamin, Madelyn, Helen. As well as many many beloved step great grands, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Betty was a career women ahead of her time retiring from NASA in 1969. She worked her whole life even ironing shirts during the depression for $1 a day. Betty was greatly loved and touched many many lives during her 100 plus years on earth. She will be greatly missed. She will stand as the ultimate example for her family for years to come.
