Virginia D. McDonough

Virginia D. McDonough, 98, of Bowie Maryland, formerly of Pottstown, Pennsylvania Virginia was born April 26, 1918 in Pottstown, Pa., the daughter of Leonora M. and Ernest W. Dahms Virginia D. McDonough, 98, passed peacefully away January 11, 2017, at Crofton Care & Rehabilitation Center, Crofton, MD, where she resided the past year.  Virginia and her late husband of  69 years, William J. McDonough, moved from Pottstown, Pa. to Bowie, MD eleven years ago, to be with their daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Thomas Barry Rhoads. Virginia was predeceased by her oldest son Michael J. McDonough (Norma), of Ohio.  In addition to her daughter, she is survived by her son Kevin F. McDonough, of Arizona; seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren; and two nephews and one niece and their families. Virginia enjoyed reading, baking, travel, and most of all, family. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11am, Saturday, January 28, 2017, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church Chapel, Bowie, MD, where she was a member.  The family wishes to thank all of those who cared for her during her last year.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to:  Crofton Care & Rehabilitation Center Leisure Fund, 2131 Davidsonville Road, Crofton, Md. 21114
