(Johnson) Peake Sr. and raised in Brentwood and Ponder Cove MD., where he grew up and attended school. In May 1969 he enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Viet Nam War and was honorably discharged in 1975. On March 17, 1970 he married the love of his life Colleen M. Harrington in Florence S.C. They settled in Edgewater, MD. and raised their six children (Michelle, Lytton III “Eddie”, Jennie, Mike, Debbie, and Barbie). He enjoyed endless time with their fifteen grandchildren. After his term in the military he began a career with the DC Government in 1975 and would go on to retire as a Supervisor in 2001. After retirement he relocated to Bedford, PA with his wife. He enjoyed many hobbies such as hunting, fishing, and crabbing with his children, grandchildren, and his Uncle/best friend Melvin “Mickey” Peake. He was known for his amazing cooking, especially for his steamed crabs and collard greens. He also had a love for music, dancing with his wife, and old westerns.
