Elizabeth G. Fisher

Elizabeth “Betty” G. Fisher, 84, of Gambrills, MD, passed away on Thursday, October 20, 2016, as the result of the long term effects of a stroke on June 7, 2011. She was born on May 6, 1932, of parents, Henry and Julia Long, Kulpmont, PA. Betty is survived by George, her beloved husband of 67 years. In addition, she is survived by her three children; Kenneth, Pamela and David; five grandchildren; Angela, Julia, David, Adrian and Alec; one brother; Thomas; and six sisters; Mary, Henrietta, Beverly, Vicky, Deborah and Cathy. Betty was a very giving and loving person, devoted in her Christian faith, and took great pleasure in sharing the love of Jesus Christ with family and friends whenever an opportunity presented itself. She took pride in being a homemaker and was a gracious wife and mother. Her favorite hobby was sewing. Two visitation times are scheduled for Friday, October 28, 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM, at Beall Funeral Home, 6512 NW Crain Highway (Route 3 South), Bowie, MD, 301-805-5544. A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, October 29, at 10 AM at Cornerstone Assembly of God Church, 16010 Annapolis Road, Bowie, MD, 301-262-6266. Following the service, the procession will begin to Fort Lincoln Cemetery, 3401 Bladensburg Road, Brentwood, MD for a brief interment service.Betty’s family and friends are invited to celebrate her life at a reception at Cornerstone Church beginning at approximately 1 PM.
