David Lewis Judy

DAVID LEWIS JUDY (72) On October 20, 2016, of Bowie, MD departed life with loved ones at his side.He was born on March 18, 1944, in Washington, D.C. to Gladys and Dana Judy, and grew up in Prince George’s County.  After serving in the US Army, he received his Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Maryland, with High Honors in 1972. He received his CPA Certification from the MD State Board of Public Accountancy in 1973 and became a Member of the MD Association of CPA, Inc. in 1974.Prior to starting his own CPA firm, he worked for Arthur Anderson in Washington, D.C., the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, and had a partnership of Howard and Judy.His passions were numerous.  He loved to travel, fish, play racquetball and ski, but he especially loved coaching sports with his beloved godchildren:  Jamie, Reed, Matthew and Evan Romo.Dave is survived by his wife Mary Rena Cord, of 51 years, brother, Gary Dean Judy (Barbara) and nephew Brian Wade Judy (Elicia).  He is also survived by numerous loving members of his extended Judy and Cord family.  He is predeceased by his parents, Gladys and Dana Maxwell Judy, Sr., and brother Dana Maxwell Judy, Jr.Family will receive friends on Sunday, October 23, 2016 from 2-4:00pm at the family-owned BEALL FUNERAL HOME, 6512 NW Crain Hwy. (Rte. 3 South), Bowie, MD, with a funeral service at 4:00pm.  Interment at Cheltenham Veterans Cemetery will be private at a later date.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the ALS Association DC/MD/VA Chapter at 7507 Standish Place, Derwood, MD  20855.
