L'Heureux Gisela W. (née Geiger) of Upper Marlboro on 10/18/2016. Mrs. L'Heureux was born in Karlsruhe Germany to Gertrude Hennig and Auguste Geiger. She was one of 18 children and lived in Germany until 1952 when she married David L'Heureux. As Mr. L'Heureux was a foreign service officer, Mrs. L'Heureux traveled the world. Mrs. L'Heureux maintained households and entertained in Manila, Philippines Pretoria, South Africa, Benghazi and Tripoli, Libya, Bangui, Central African Republic and Rabat, Morocco. She enjoyed swimming, tennis, bridge and mahjong. Mrs. L'Heureux loved to laugh and was an extremely devoted mother to her children. Mrs. L'Heureux is survived by her children Ruth Swearingen of Alaska, John L'Heureux of St. Thomas, U.S.V.I., Peter L'Heureux of Maryland, Hervé L'Heureux II of Idaho and James L'Heureux of Maryland. No service will be held. A memorial luncheon will be planned for, as of yet, an undetermined date. In lieu of flowers the family requests that Memorial donations be made to Alz.org
