Glengoffe (Glen) Lester Sharpe passed away at his Washington, DC home on July 27, 2016 at the age of 74. He was born on September 13, 1941 in Clarendon, Jamaica. He enjoyed gardening, and loved to share his harvest of vegetables with others. He absolutely loved music, especially oldies-but-goodies and reggae. He was a huge Bob Marley fan, and had a large collection of vinyl records, 45s and CDs. Glen was also an avid football and baseball fan. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 44 years, Hyacinth Sharpe; son Marton Sharpe (Leslie); daughter Lorraine Rodgers (Kevin); five grandchildren, Jaiah, Marton (MJ), Maxwell, Melah and Peyton; brother Kenneth; sisters Maxine and Rona; nephews Sean and Joshia; nieces Njeri, Keisha, Tashanda and Nyasia. He is also survived by a host of loving family and friends. He was preceded in death by his dear mother Assenath; father Herbert and brother George. He showed his love for his family in so many ways, whether it was cooking your favorite dish, sending a financial gift, or talking about some sport team or player that he loved or he knew you loved. He would try his best to make your day, in his own special way. Glen/Daddy/Papa/Grandpa: Our lives were better because you were in it. You will truly be missed.
