Betty Carolyn Mobra

Betty Carolyn Mobra, age 79, of Gambrills, Maryland, was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on December 29, 1936.  She left this life on July 11, 2016 after a long illness.A wife, loving mother, grandmother, and devoted friend, Betty was a member and volunteer at Davidsonville United Methodist Church.  She was known for her friendly personality and her positive outlook on life. She was strong and courageous, and enjoyed spending time with friends and family.A long time resident of Tulsa Oklahoma, she was a member of Yale Avenue Christian Church.  Upon her retirement from the Tulsa Classroom Teacher's Association, she moved to Gambrills, Maryland to be closer to family.  Betty enjoyed reading, gardening, and playing bridge with her friends.She is preceded in death by her husband, Joe Mobra, her parents Everett and Elizabeth Lively, brother, Lee Lively, and sister, Jeanne Cunningham.  She is survived by daughter Carrie and Kevin Williams of Gambrills, Maryland, daughter Jean Ann and Jim Kiker of The Woodlands, Texas, and three grandsons, Joseph, Joshua and Jacob Williams.  A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 15, 2016, 1:00pm at Davidsonville United Methodist Church, 819 W.
