Stephen Gerard Malley of Crofton, MD died of pneumonia as a complication of Lewy Body Disease on 27 May 2016 at age 74. He is survived by his beloved wife of 46 years, Lynne, son Stephen R. (Marnie), and granddaughter Anna Grace. Graduate of Cathedral H.S. in Boston, Massachusetts Maritime Academy (B.S., U.S. Merchant Marine Officer license for any tonnage, any ocean, and USN Commission), and the Harvard Senior Executive Fellows Program at the Kennedy School of Government. Retired executive at the National Security Agency where he specialized in the field of Communications Security. Also veteran of the USAF. He spent a great deal of time coaching and promoting youth hockey in the DC Metro area, was deemed a Master Level Coach by USA Hockey, and was a deeply respected adviser to multiple hockey teams, especially DeMatha Catholic H.S. and many individual student athletes. Visitation will be held on Monday June 6th (2-4pm; 6-8 p.m.) at Beall Funeral Home in Bowie MD. Memorial Service at 11:30AM Tuesday June 7th at Beall Funeral Home immediately followed by Military Honors and Interment at Crownsville Veterans Cemetery, followed by a Reception at Crofton Country Club.
