On Tuesday, April 26, 2016, of Upper Marlboro, MD. He was a 3rd Degree Charter Member of the Fr. Michael C. Kidd Council of the Knights of Columbus and a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Mitchellville, MD. Beloved husband of the late Carmen (nee Bowyer) Hugya; loving father of Peggy (Jim) Marosy, Betsy Hugya, and Connie Hugya; dear grandfather of Jim, Mike, Dan Marosy, and Carmen Milligan; brother of Ethel Levock and John Hugya; also survived by five great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Family will receive friends at the family-owned BEALL FUNERAL HOME, 6512 NW Crain Hwy, (Rte. 3 South), Bowie, MD on Thursday, April 28, 2016 from 6 to 8pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Family Catholic Church, 12010 Woodmore Rd., Mitchellville, MD on Friday, April 29, 2016 at 11am. Interment, Maryland National Memorial in Laurel, MD. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Holy Family Catholic Church in Mitchellville, MD or The Academy of St. Matthias Apostle School, 9473 Annapolis Rd, Lanham, MD.
