Joseph L. Spitzer "Larry"

Of Crofton, MD, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Wednesday, April 13, 2016. Larry graduated from Surrattsville High School in 1963 and University of Maryland in 1972, where he did his graduate work until 1976. He retired from teaching in 1997. Larry loved white flowers. He is survived by his brother, David C. Spitzer; nieces, Alexandra B. Spitzer and Linda Marcoux; and nephew, Jimmy Deck. He was predeceased by his parents, Joe and Helen Spitzer; his sister, Helen B. Deck; his great-aunt, Gladys Blum; and his beloved little cat, Boomer. Family will receive friends on Sunday, April 17, 2016 from 2 to 5 p.m. at BEALL FUNERAL HOME, 6512 NW Crain Hwy. (Rte. 3 South), Bowie, MD, where a funeral service will be held on Monday, April 18, 2016 at 11 a.m. Interment, Cedar Hill Cemetery in Suitland, MD.
