William "Bill" E. Stevens, Jr.

?Son of the late William E. Stevens, Sr. and Gladys P. Stevens passed away at Baltimore Washington Medical Center on Sunday, March 13, 2016. He is survived by his loving wife, Lynn M. Stevens; their daughter, Nicole Powers; grandson Christopher; and by a host of relatives and friends in Frederick, MD and Warsaw, VA. Mr. Stevens graduated from Suitland High School and Prince George''s Community College. He served in the Marine Corps 1962-1966, gaining rank E-5, Sgt. He joined U.S. Capitol Police in October 1967 and retired in 1997 at the rank of Sgt. For 14 years, he worked part-time at Staples Corner Beverage Store in Gambrills, MD. He served as Treasurer for D.C. Lodge I, for his condo association in Crofton, MD and for the Retired Police Officer Association, U.S.C.P. Memberships also included the Moose and Fleet Reserve in Annapolis, MD. Family will receive friends at the family-owned BEALL FUNERAL HOME, 6512 NW Crain Hwy. (Rte. 3 South), Bowie, MD on Friday, March 18, 2016 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 1800 Seton Dr., Crofton, MD on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at 10 a.m. Interment, Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Frederick, MD. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Make-A-Wish ® America, Gift Processing, 4742 North 24th Street, Suite 400, Phoenix, AZ 85016.
