Nancy J. Thomsen

?Nancy Jane Thomsen, age 85, of Bowie, MD passed away peacefully on Monday, March 14, 2016 surrounded by her family. She was born in Baltimore, MD and was the beloved daughter of the Rev. William E. Thomsen, Jr. and Jane Corbell Thomsen. Devoted mother and mother-in-law to her daughters Carolyn W. Brown and Diane B. Perry and their respective husbands Toan C. Nguyen and Thomas P. Perry. Loving grandmother of Michael Reid Thomsen, his wife, Rachel and great-grandmother to Robbie and Henry. A long time resident of historic Bowie, MD since 1963, she was a dedicated member of the St. James Episcopal Church and an active member of the Huntington Heritage Society. Nancy had a deep abiding love for animals and nature and had a great appreciation for the spiritual aspect of life. She touched many people with her heartfelt compassion and empathy and her willingness to help those in need.  A private celebration of her life for friends and family will take place at her home in the late spring/early summer.
