James S. Tomchik

James S. Tomchik, age 55, died March 8, 2016, n his home surrounded by family after a long battle with cancer.  James was born to John and Patricia Tomchik on August 30, 1960 in Albany, NY.  He grew up on the family farm in East Nassau with his two brothers, John and Daniel; and two sisters, Patricia and Jeanne.  Throughout is life, James enjoyed working on cars, building with his hands, and caring for animals.  He graduated from New Lebanon High School in 1978 before joining the US Army in 1979.  James served 22 years and retired in 2001 as a Chief Warrant Officer 4, Chief Tomchik was a veteran of Operation Desert Storm.  He is survived by his wife Victoria, and two children; Michael Tomchik and Meagan Tomchik.  He also leaves behind two grandchildren; Donovan James Clarence and Liam Gabriel Presley.
