?Jane B. Naugle of Bowie, MD passed on Saturday, March 5, 2016. She was born May 7, 1932 in Cambridge, MA to John I. and Jane Pilkowicz Brown (Baranowski) and grew up in nearby Belmont. She was a graduate of Belmont High School and Boston University College of General Education. She pursued a Master’s Degree at Harvard, where she was a member of Delta Delta Delta Sorority, but did not complete it because she got married. As a teacher, she taught elementary classes in Lincoln, MA; for Montgomery and Anne Arundel Counties in Maryland; and for 2 years in Boblingen, Germany under the Department of Defense in Stuttgart. As a sports enthusiast, she played baseball and basketball in her teens and has a New Englander’s love for skiing. An avid golfer, she was a member of Maryland ladies 18 hole groups at Eisenhower Golf Course in Crownsville, Fort George G. Meade, and Bowie Golf Course in the late 1970’s and early 1980’s. She served at various times as events chairwoman of those groups at all three courses. She is survived by her husband, Robert E. Naugle of Bowie, MD; sons, Jonathan,of Gaithersburg, MD and Jeffrey (wife Carol) of Bowie, MD; and granddaughter, Melissa Naugle of Gaithersburg, MD. Her mother, Jane Brown, died in Bowie, MD on February 28, 2012 at the age of 103. All services are private.
