Jerry Lynch passed away on February 28, 2016 at Anne Arundel Medical Center. He was originally from Shippensburg Pennsylvania and resided in Bowie Maryland for the past twenty-four years.Jerry was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force. He was active duty from December 1967 until his retirement in January 1992, reaching the rank of Master Sargent. During his time in the Air Force, he fought in the Vietnam War as well as Operation Just Cause in Panama. Jerry was able to travel the world, and was stationed in South Korea and Germany over the course of his service.Following retirement from the Air Force, he began working at Phoenix International Holdings, specializing in Facilities Management and Logistics. Jerry was known to be a no nonsense, "get the job done" kinda guy, gaining him respect and admiration from everyone he met.Jerry was an avid sports fan. He enjoyed watching and attending all kinds of sporting events. He loved the Pittsburgh Steelers and Philadelphia Phillies. Jerry frequently coached basketball and softball during his time in the Air Force. He belonged to several bowling and pool leagues throughout his life. Jerry also was an animal lover and always had a soft spot for dogs and cats.He is survived by his loving wife of thirty-six years, Donna Lynch. Jerry is also survived by his son, Christopher Lynch, daughters Jocelyn Lynch and Jaclyn Fernandes, three sisters, and five grandchildren.
